Uniform Policy

Welcome to the Kopano School community! Our uniform policy is designed to foster a sense of unity, pride, and an ideal learning environment. We expect all students to wear their uniforms neatly, reflecting a positive self-image and an attitude of excellence.

General Uniform Guidelines

  • The full, appropriate uniform is required every day.
  • All clothing and shoes must be legibly labeled with the student’s first and last name.
  • Shirts and tops must be tucked in.
  • Clothing should be properly hemmed, in good condition, and fit correctly.
  • Students are required to wear shoes and socks at all times.

Specific Uniforms

Summer Uniform

  • Boys: Khaki shorts, khaki shirt, long grey socks, and black lace-up shoes.
  • Girls: Green and white checked dress with a belt, short white socks, and black buckle or Velcro-strap shoes. Girls must also wear black modesty shorts under their tunics.
  • All: A bottle green V-neck jersey may be worn.

Winter Uniform

  • All: Kopano tracksuit, bottle green V-neck jersey, and a green beanie, scarf, and gloves. A green windbreaker is also part of the uniform.
  • Boys: Khaki long pants, khaki shirt, long grey socks, and black lace-up shoes.
  • Girls: Green/white checked dress, short white socks, and black buckle or Velcro-strap shoes. Green, white, or black leggings may also be worn.

Additional Policies

  • Hair: Hair should be neat and tidy. For boys, hair must be short and not touch the collar or ears. Only black, white, or bottle green hair accessories are allowed for girls.
  • Jewellery: No jewellery is permitted, with the exception of a medic alert item. Girls may wear one pair of small, plain stud earrings.
  • Hats: A Kopano hat is compulsory for break time and afternoon activities.
  • Lost Property: All lost items that are clearly marked with the student’s name and surname are placed in the lost property room.
